Since I'm running Windows Insider the OS is updated regularly to a new version. I don't remember the last time I had a issue, but yesterday it was time for the “Darn, it does not work???” IDT High definition audio codec Yep, it fails, and if i download the “latest” version, well, it fails.

I'm trying to get my speakers to work after Windows 10 killed it (it says my speakers are not plugged in). After hours of troubleshooting (without using the troubleshooter as it's not helpful at all) I think I've found what's causing problems.

When I looked for driver updates for IDT High Definition Audio CODEC it says that Windows have found driver software for my device but encountered an error while attempting to install it: A device attached to the system is not functioning.
